On the eve of the International Anti-Corruption Day at the University of Zhubanov, was held the competition “Together to the future without bribes” in volleyball among universities staff in the oblast, organized by the trade union of the University of Zhubanov and the Agency for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Aktobe oblast.
In volleyball competition took part the following teams: team of ARSU named after K. Zhubanov, team of WKSMU named after M.Ospanov, team of MIFAD named after Twice Hero of the Soviet Union T. Begeldinov and team of AJU MIA RK.
The competition was organized with the aim of developing physical culture and sports among staff and teachers; improvement of employees’ sports skills promoting healthy lifestyles and regular sports.
The participants and guests of the competition were greeted by the vice-rector for educational work of the university Nurzhan Berdybaev.
In turn, Yerbol Tolybayev, the head of the corruption prevention department of Aktobe oblast, thanked the organizers of the competition and noted that such concepts as “fairness” and “justice” are popular in sports. He urged all present to adhere to these concepts in all areas of activity.
Then the chairman of the university trade union Olga Sultangaliyeva spoke and said, “Let the strongest win!”
The first met the teams of ARSU named after K. Zhubanov and AJI of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Competitors took the game very seriously, not losing points to each other. The second were participants from WKSMU named after M.Ospanov, MIFAD named after twice Hero of the Soviet Union T. Begeldinov.
Winners of the competition will be determined after the final meeting.
The International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated annually on December 9, starting in 2004. On this day in 2003 in Mexican city – Merida at the High-level Political Conference, was adopted the UN Convention against Corruption by the UN General Assembly on November 1, 2003.
