The awarding ceremony of the regional stage of the Republican Olympiad in General education subjects, which was held on January 5-6, was held at the Palace of students of Zhubanov University.
The ceremony of awarding the winners of the regional Olympiad was attended by the head of the Department of education of the Aktobe region, heads of education departments, school Directors, juries, independent observers and veteran teachers.
The Olympiad was organized in order to identify gifted children, select and prepare schoolers participating in national and international Olympiads, and increase the prestige of education. It is worth noting that the jury included scientists from Zhubanov University and winners of International Olympiads.
During the event, an exhibition of educational programs of Zhubanov University was organized in the foyer of the Palace of students. About 800 schoolers were able to get acquainted with popular specialties and new trends in higher education.
“The main goal of the exhibition is to help schoolers choose their future profession. This event was attended by talented children of 9-11 grades of the region and districts. Each of them was selected and received a ticket to the Republican Olympiad. Therefore, the best schoolers of the region came to today’s exhibition, ” said Rauan Zhaltyrbayeva, head of the Department of career guidance and admissions of the Zhubanov University.
In addition to familiarization with popular specialties, schoolers were told about the rules of admission to the University. As noted by future applicants, they are already hoping for a grant and are determined with the profession. One of them is Amanzhan Beknur, a schooler of the Sapakkol secondary school of the Uil district, the winner of the Olympiad in the nomination «The best rural schooler»: “I want to master the specialty “History”. Today I was able to find out what it takes to go to University-said the schooler.
At the end of the solemn event were awarded schools and educational organizations, whose schoolers showed a high level at the Olympics.
