The 1st year master’s degree student of the Physics and Mathematics faculty, Aidana Nurmukhanova, who is specializing in Physics, became the holder of the Abay-Vern scholarship. She will be educated at the University of Francois Rabelais in Tur city, on the specialty “Fundamental Physics”.
The ceremony of certificate awarding was held on July 9 at the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute in the presence of the Ambassador of France in Kazakhstan, the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Abay-Vern’s scholarship program is the result of the agreement signing between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic. The main goal of the Abay-Vern’s program is to strengthen the Kazakh-French partnership in higher education for the training of highly qualified personnel and the development of an internationalization strategy and two-diploma education.
The Abay-Vern’s scholarship program is aimed at fostering a new impulse in the development of academic mobility of young researchers, as well as the opportunity to gain access to the latest innovations in science, the development of cooperation with advanced European research centers and laboratories, with further expansion of scientific ties with francophone countries.
