The traditional meeting of first-year students with the rector was also held at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, which this year was chosen by 288 entrants. Among the first year students, 8 are citizens of bordering countries, 138 are holders of state grants and 10 are holders of educational grants of the oblast Akim B.Saparbayev.
The purpose of the meeting is to familiarize students with the university’s educational system, internal regulations, and plans for supporting of scientific and creative research of young people.
At the beginning of the meeting the Dean Murat Makhambetov reported the history and stages of the faculty development. Then the vice-rector for science and innovations Rakhim Beknazarov told the first-year students about the opportunities of the academic mobility program and the conditions created in the university for young scientists.
Then there was a free dialogue platform in the question-and-answer format. Also there was an active dialogue with the youth and the guests of the meeting. Among them are competent specialists in the field of religion, jurisprudence, law enforcement officers and employees of the anti-corruption department. The deputy head of the Ansar information and analytical center Tulegen Taldybayev, the head of the department of the Regional Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service and Counteraction of Corruption Erbol Tolybaev, the deputy head of Aktobe police department Aset Kaliyev, the head of the criminal police department of Aktobe police Serikzhan Duzbaev.
First year students also learned that they could write all their questions in the personal blog of the rector on the university’s website.
The student of the graduate course on the specialty “Ecology”, the holder of the title “The Best Student” Arman Kibatov, described the student life. The first year student, a citizen of Mongolia Yerkesh Manarbek, expressed gratitude for the opportunity of free education in the best university in Western Kazakhstan. By the way, in the first year of studying the university paid for the tuition fees. Later, after showing good results in her studies, she will be able to take advantage of discounts and even become holder of special personal grant.
