Today a round table conference organized by our University and AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” took place in the conference hall of K. Zhubanov Regional State University.
Rector of K. Zhubanov Regional State University B. Erdembekov, Pro- rectors and deans of the University, the Chairman of the Board of AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” K.N. Shamshadinova, director S.U. Saduakasov, representatives of M. Ospanov West Kazakhstan Medical University participated in the work of the round table conference.
The Chairman of the Board of AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” K.N. Shamshadinova analyzed the main tasks facing the teachers. “Intellectual schools which stand in the forefront of secondary education have to be ready to all changes. Priority should be placed on the compliance of the education system with the requirements of modern industrialization, integrated education and their use in practice, realization, analysis, synthesis, assessment of projects and research works, development of such high skills as IT-skills” emphasized Kulyash Nogatayevna.
K. Shamshadinova also touched upon the issues of formation of conditions of modern education, its purpose, philosophy and paradigm, content of education, development of the personality, the questions concerning the relations between the teacher and the pupil in the educational process.
The deputy director of the Center of Educational Programs Arailym Magzumova informed about the contents of educational programs in Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, and the deputy director of the Center of Pedagogical Assessments Leyla Nurakayeva spoke about the process of final academic assessment of Intellectual School graduates.
During the meeting the possibilities of accounting credits at an admission to University in some disciplines were discussed, considering 12 year-education at Intellectual Schools.
At the end of the event Rector of K. Zhubanov University Bauyrzhan Erdembekov highlighted the necessity of carrying out professional orientation work with graduates of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, providing detailed information on the academic mobility and two-degree education.
“We urgently need young people who know three languages in order to increase the number of active students at the University. Alongside with the state grants we can offer an additional “K. Zhubanov” grant. For graduates who left school with excellent marks, but failed to obtain a grant there is an opportunity to get personalized” K. Zhubanov” grant education” – Bauyrzhan Amangeldyevich said.
