The traditional annual sports contest among the teaching staff and employees of K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional State University came to an end today.
This sports contest was organized from December 26 to January 25 for the purpose of strengthening health of the staff of the educational institution, improvement of sports skill, formation of a healthy lifestyle and selecting the best athletes for the city competitions.
10 teams, women and men, competed in eight sports, including volleyball, soccer, togyzkumalak, shooting, darts, chess and table tennis. National teams of Administration, Center of Information Service, Faculty of Economy and Law, Faculty of Pedagogics and Psychology, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Technical Faculty, Professional and Creative Faculty, Philological Faculty, Department of History, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Physical and Mathematical Faculty assayed their strength.
According to the employee of “Physical Culture and Sport” Department Asel Mukhamediyarova 380 people participated in the competitions this year. This amount is higher than last year. It should be noted that this sporting event has been held in our University since 2005. Senior lecturer of “Physical Culture and Sport” Department Kulmagambetov Abilgaziz Kaldybayevich has contributed a lot in the top-level organizations of this action.
At the solemn closing of the sports contest the Chairman of the Labor Union of the University Gulnur Zarlykova noted that such actions play an important role in promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the staff.
– Strengthening of health of all citizens is a golden way to the bright future. In the Address to the people our President emphasized the necessity of paying special attention to the development of physical culture and sport. Now large-scale state programs are adopted and implemented in this direction. We think that today’s action will continue in the future, she said.
The teams and certain participants who were the best of the best were awarded with letters of gratitude on behalf of the Rector and monetary prizes.
In an all-team competition the team of the Professional and Creative Faculty won the first place, the team of Physical and Mathematical Faculty were the second, and the 3d place was given to the team of History Department.
Following the results of the sports contest the first place in volleyball among men was won by the national team of Professional and Creative Faculty, and among women 1 place was won by the picked team of Administration. In togyzkumalak the 1st place was taken by the Technical Faculty, the 1st place in table tennis was given to the team of Professional and Creative faculty, the 1st place in chess was taken by Physical and Mathematical Faculty, the 1st place in
shooting was won by the team of Professional and Creative Faculty, in futsal the 1st place was taken by the team of the Center of Information Service and the 1st place in darts was won by the team of Professional and Creative Faculty.
