Today Rector of K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional State University, Doctor of Philology, professor Bauyrzhan Erdembekov held a press conference with journalists where he reported on the work done and summarised the results of 2017.
At the beginning of the press conference Rector of the University congratulated the journalists with coming New Year, gave them memorable gifts. He awarded the staff of “Aktobe Media” LLP, the staff of “Aktobe” Regional TV channel, the staff of “Rika TV” channel, the resident correspondent of the republican newspaper “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda” Temir Kusayyn, the resident correspondents of “Habar” TV channel Mansour Esgozhin and Leyla Adilshinova, the correspondent of “Liter” republican political newspaper Zhanat Sisekenova with letters of gratitude for the significant contribution in the increase in the status of our educational institution and providing information support.
The director of “Aktobe Media” LLP Rauken Otynshin, the editor-in-chief of “Aktobe” regional newspaper Bauyrzhan Babazhanuly, the editor-in-chief of “Aktyubinsky Vestnik” regional newspaper Aygul Nurkeeva, the deputy director of Aqto’be TV channel Nurlygul Kushekbayeva, correspondents of news service of the above TV channel Raygul Enshibay and Dinara Abdualiyeva, correspondents of news service of “Rika TV” TV channel Gulvira Seytenova and Aysulu Makhmutova and also resident correspondents of republican newspapers and Aktobe TV channels participated in the conference.
In the opening speech Bauyrzhan Amankeldyevich said: “At our University more than ten thousand students study. It is a high index for the regional university. In order to satisfy the interest of these 10 thousand students, the level of competence of our
teaching staff has to conform to all innovative requirements. Recently at the session of the Supervisory Board we reported the results of the work done at the university for the past 9 months to the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, the regional akim Berdybek Saparbayev. New facilities have been opened at the University. The largest of them are the Park of Innovative Technologies and the “The Youth House” university accommodation. The university accommodation problem has been solved completely. Up to this day provision of students with the university accommodation made up only 50%. One of major orders of the President is transition to Digital Kazakhstan therefore we have a great goal to become a “Smart University”. He also shared plans on opening specialties of magistracy and doctoral studies, two-degree specialties, increases in number of foreign students, revival of history of the University and many other plans. Also the Rector answered questions of the media representatives and had his picture with the audience taken.
