Today, the new electronic reading room named after the First President began to work in the scientific library of Zhubanov University. This important historical event in the life of the university was organized as part of the on-site stock exhibition “N. Nazarbayev: Epoch, Personality, and Society”. The grand opening of the on-site stock exhibition took place today in the new building of the Aktobe Regional Museum of Local History. The Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, specially arrived to the oblast, he is the Acting Director of the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Mahmud Kasymbekov, before the event, he met with faculty and students of Zhubanov University. Akim of the oblast Berdybek Saparbayev and the rector of Zhubanov University Bauyrzhan Erdembekov also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, Mahmud Kasymbekov transferred to the library of ARSU named after K. Zhubanov more than 350 books from the Library of Elbasy. Among them are the works of N.A. Nazarbayev, the chronicle of the activities of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 1990–2016, the official biography of the Head of State, books on Kazakhstani and foreign authors on Elbasy, current literature on social, political, economic and cultural issues.
“The project started in November 2017 in Almaty, continued its work in February of this year in Shymkent, in September it successfully passed in the Atyrau region. More than 350,000 people have already familiarized themselves with the exhibition. Replenishing the exhibition, we arrived in Aktobe, and here I could not help but attend a university with 85 years of history, which gained prestige throughout the country. I see that all the conditions have been created here for students to receive a high-quality education and good education,”said Mahmud Kasymbekov. Further, a public and state leader of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a political scientist, Professor Mahmud Bazarkulovich Kasymbekov answered the questions of the youth.
The purpose of the exhibition project is to provide a consistent description of the formation and development of independent Kazakhstan, the historical evolution of the political culture of society and the role of the personality of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy in this process.
In the practice of the Library of Elbasy, such forms of cultural and educational activities as field lectures, museum lessons from the “Exhibits started talking” series, field trips are actively used. They not only acquaint with the content, but also allow tactile to get acquainted with historical artifacts.
All days of the exhibition, residents and guests of Aktobe will be able to visit sightseeing and thematic excursions, get acquainted not only with the stock exhibition, but also with the activities of the Library of Elbasy. The exhibition will run until the end of January 2019 in Aktobe oblast Museum of Local History.
