On November 16, 2018, the 3rd students of Philology Faculty of specialties «Russian language and literature» and «Russian language and literature in schools with non-Russian language of education» opened the doors of the literary saloon for the guests. The literary evening was dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the Russian writer L.N. Tolstoy.
The event was organized by the senior teacher Korobkova T.V. in the framework of the discipline «Russian literature of the 19th century». In her welcoming speech, the teacher noted the worldwide value of L.N. Tolstoy.
The material of the literary and musical production covered the whole life and work of the great classic. The students, relying on the writer’s diary entries, told about his creative and philosophical quest, about interesting facts from the life of the luminary of Russian literature, read poems about him and his work.
The audience was fascinated by an interesting presentation of theoretical material presented in an entertaining way. Excerpts from the works of L.N. Tolstoy, sounding to the accompaniment of classical music, made a unique aesthetic impression on the audience.
A special response was caused by a theatrical dramatization of a passage from the epic novel “War and Peace” – the first ball of Natasha Rostova. The participants of the performance turned the audience into the waltz of Andrei Bolkonsky and Natasha Rostova, and they were fine about the love that was arising between the characters.
Literary evening dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of L.N. Tolstoy, demonstrated the creative possibilities of philological students. The performers could emotionally plunge the audience into the world of the heroes of Lev Tolstoy, after which they wanted to re-read the great works of one of the most prominent representatives of Russian literature.
