Today at the Faculty of History of Zhubanov University was held the Enlarged Meeting of the Faculty Council. The meeting was devoted to the 60th anniversary of the doctor of historical sciences, the head of the department ” Local history and historical disciplines” Uzakbay Shaukerovich Ismagulov. The meeting was attended by representatives of higher and secondary educational institutions of the city, public associations, the media, historians and intelligentsia of the oblast, famous scientists, students, colleagues and friends of the hero of the day.
Uzakbai Shaukerovich works at Zhubanov University since 1990. He is also the author of more than 100 scientific and educational articles and monographs. His works have been published in the leading print media of Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and many other foreign countries.
The candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Samat Eskaliyev opened the event. He focused on the important life stages of Uzakbay Shaukerovich. Further, the university’s rector for academic affairs, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Bibigul Abenova congratulated the hero of the day on behalf of the university rector Bauyrzhan Erdembekov and, according to Kazakh custom, presented him with a national chapan.
During the meeting, the historian’s pupils and colleagues congratulated him and dwelt upon him in detail. Representatives of higher educational institutions of Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Uralsk, and Pavlodar also presented the congratulatory letters on behalf of the heads of universities.
It is worth noting that Uzakbay Ismagulov was twice awarded the title of “Best Head of the Department” in 2006 and 2012. He was also awarded a letter of thanks from Akim of Aktobe for his contribution to promoting the President’s message (2011) among young people, the Letter of Gratitude from the Professional Union of Education Officers and the Oblast Department of Education in Aktobe Oblast (2012), “Honorary Professor” of Zhubanov University, the Diploma of Honor (2017), medals “50 years of ARSU named after K.Zhubanov”, “For contribution to the development of the university.”
