According to the initiative of the Akim of Aktobe oblast, Berdybek Saparbayev, in the framework of the program “Ruhani zangyru” and the action “Tugan zherge tagzym”, the year 2018 in the oblast was declared as the year of child under the motto: “Bakytty bala – mangylyk el kepily”. Today, within the framework of this project, the ceremonial opening of the Children’s Development Center “Zerek” took place at ARSU named after K. Zhubanov.
The center is designed to develop the intellectual abilities of children aged 5 to 10 years. In the complex, based for small Aktobe residents, will be held courses on physical development, correction of disorders of the musculoskeletal system and speech, psychological support, orientation training, preparation for school, intellectual development, computer literacy training, and development of fine arts skills and learning english language.
Akim of Aktobe oblast B.Saparbayev thanked the leadership of the university for the implementation of this project. “We are grateful to your university for supporting and taking every possible part in the regional program “Bakytty bala”. The opening of the Child Development Center is the key to the progressive society. Our children must meet modern requirements. They should receive the quality
education, engage in science, sports, art, and thus be along with the children of other developing countries”said the head of the oblast.
The idea of creating this center was implemented following the results of the StartUp competition – projects in the 2017-2018 school year. “StartUp – the project of the preschool and special education department of the pedagogical faculty won the first place in this competition. And thanks to the support of the university rector Bauyrzhan Erdembekov and the scientific council, we have translated our idea into reality ”says Klara Turebayeva, the head of the pre-school and special education department.
The feature of the center is the creation of a practical area for university students who, under the supervision of their teachers, will work with children, working out their pedagogical skills, within the framework of dual education. According to the first-year undergraduate in the specialty “Psychology” of Aida Bikeshova, this center allows you not only to do practical work, but also to develop your own methods at work. “In this center we will practice as specialists already. During the lessons we can use our methods and develop those areas of work that interest us. For example, I am interested in metaphorical maps, and I can use them in my work, to which I am very pleased” said Aida. She also noted that the psychology room is designed not only for children, but also for parents who need expert advice.
The center is equipped with 17 specialized classrooms, where more than 100 students can practice in different directions. Classes will be held in two shifts, both in groups and individually. In the sections of this center, children of the faculty and staff of Zhubanov University, children from districts and the city of Aktobe can develop their abilities.
