February 9 is Mukagali Makatayev’s birthday. It is needless to say that his poems take the rightful place in the hearts of everyone. Today a poetry event under the name “Myn Zhamylgan Zhaukhar Zhur” devoted to Mukagali Makatayev’s work took place at K. Zhubanov ARSU. The event was organized by the students of Group 102 majoring in “Kazakh Philology” of Philological Faculty and staff of the University library.
The purpose of the event is popularization of the poet’s works, spiritual enrichment of students.
During the event the performance of the poem “Happy Family” was shown, and first-year students Bekbol Maylishov and Asylzhan Abdikarim recited their poems devoted to the poet. The hosts of the event Moldir Kenzhegarakyzy and Gabit Utebayev told interesting facts from the life of the poet. The poet’s verses, the performance moved the audience to tears.
At the end of the event Director of the library Lea Mazylbekova and the lecturer of the department Sabira Tazhgaliyeva expressed gratitude to all organizers.
