Today at Zhubanov University was a festive concert dedicated to the International Women’s Day, March 8.
Rector of Zhubanov University Bauyrzhan Erdembekov delivered a congratulatory speech. “People say, first of all, respect your mother, then again your mother, and then your father.” The meaning of this expression is in the conscious understanding of the valuable role of the mother in our life. The history has preserved a great number of examples of how gifted queen, geniuses, and famous heroic batyrs emerged from the Turkic-Kazakh environment, fragile and weak women. For example, the sacred names Umai, Domalak, Zere, who rocked the cradle of the great Abay, as well as Aliya, Manshuk, Hiuaz Dospanova. Our university employs 1,200 people, 800 of whom are women, accounting for 74 percent of the total number of staff. There are many beautiful ladies among the management of our university. However, among the students, 65 percent are girls. We sincerely wish you well-being, good health and women’s happiness!” said the rector of the women and girls of the university.
The event was continued with the award ceremony for the female half of the faculty and university staff.
The organization of the gala concert involved almost all the men of the university. Thus, the rector Bauyrzhan Erdembekov, the Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Rakhym Beknazarov, the coordinator of the regional project office “Spiritual Revival” Daulet Abenov and the senior teacher of the technical faculty Nurlan Kantarbayev sang the song “Akbantik”.
At the concert were performed various song compositions and were demonstrated dance numbers. Thus, a group of university teachers performed a potpourri of famous songs dedicated to lovely ladies. And in the karaoke format, the entire concert hall sang the song “Arystyn zhagasynda”. Also, the head of the department “Visual arts, professional and musical education” Mergembai Kurgambekov performed the monologue “Ayel”. The festive concert was made by the children’s dance group “Megastars”.
At the end of the concert, flowers and gifts were presented to the beautiful half of the university on behalf of the men.
