Students of Zhubanov University met with TV presenter and young journalist of the Eurasia Channel One, Asaubek Ayymbetov. During the informal meeting, Asaubek Ayymbetov told about the choice of profession, about his childhood, about the first workplace and about many other things.
“From childhood I dreamed of becoming a TV presenter. Having settled down in front of the TV, I repeated behind the TV presenters. I was sure that I would achieve my goal. In my student years, I heard about the casting for the place of the news presenter on the local channel “RIKA” and decided to try my luck. I also
worked as a journalist in the news service, leading to Aktobe radio. How happy I was that childhood dreams were beginning to come true. At 23, I worked as a PR manager in a metropolitan company. After 4 months of work, I realized that this is not mine. Then I participated in various castings, so once I passed a casting in the program “Bloggers” of the 24kz TV channel. I worked there for a year, and after that I was cast on Channel One of Eurasia,” said the young journalist.
In turn, the students were interested in learning about the field of journalism. And when asked what professionalism is, he replied: “Professionalism is not just a good speech, the ability to write, it is the ability to resist various nuances of work, as well as the ability to find a common language with people.” He also noted that the work of a journalist should start with local television and radio companies. According to him, the experience gained will be useful in larger companies.
Answering students’ questions, Asaubek Ayymbetov gave advice to future specialists. And the most important of them was: “Dream and your dream will surely come true”.
