Today, as part of the Elbasy article “Looking into the Future: Modernizing Public Consciousness” and the Year of Youth at Zhubanov University, was summed up the results of scientific week at the XV International Scientific and Practical Conference.
During the week, more than 180 events were held at the university: the contest of the best scientific projects “Gylym Kainary”, competitions in the nominations “Best Faculty”, “Best Department”, “Best Young Scientist”, “Best Scientist”, “Best Master Student” “The best scientific circle”, XI Republican subject Olympiad among university students in the specialty “Oil and gas business”, as well as scientific seminars, round tables, trainings, exhibition of scientific achievements, master classes, brain-rings, practical and intellectual games.
During the conference, were made presentations by young university scientists, who took an active part in the work of the scientific week.
Thus, students and undergraduates familiarized the participants with their scientific achievements and made suggestions on the further development of science at the university.
“The student club “24 Elements” includes 137 students and 7 young professionals. Members of the club are winners of national research competitions. For example, recently students in the specialty “Metallurgy” took the second place in the Republican subject Olympiad in the city of Temirtau,” noted master of technical sciences Albina Ersayinova.
A 4-year student in the specialty Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages Asylov Nursultan told about the Project Based Learning, which teaches students to do projects in English.
“This is project-based learning and research. The teacher acts as a mentor and simply gives feedback. This technique is becoming increasingly popular in the west. The PBL (Problem-Based Learning) method is considered as a successful innovative teaching method, which is aimed at the independent work of the student. In this method, the focus of learning is shifted from teacher to student, as the student now occupies a more active role, trying to solve the practical problem. This technique teaches the student to broader and deeper to comprehend everything said by the teacher during lectures and written in textbooks, ” said Nursultan. Note that he was admitted to the master’s program at the University of Ottawa (Canada) for a specialty in the field of culture and language.
In turn, the head of the university Bauyrzhan Erdembekov, congratulated all the participants of the conference on the successful completion of the scientific week.
“The conference was timed to the two-year anniversary of the program article by Elbasy N.Nazarbayev, “Looking into the Future: Spiritual Revival ”, and for 120th anniversary of the member of Academy of the Kazakh SSR, the founder of the metallogenic school of the Soviet Union and Kazakhstan, the first Kazakh scientist K. Satpayev. 116 years ago, the first public transport with an internal combustion engine, released in London it was the amazing innovation, 14 years ago a new technological innovation was introduced to the public – a dual-core Intel Pentium 4 processor Extreme Edition 840,” said the rector in his speech.
As noted Bauyrzhan Erdembekov, in the university all the necessary conditions are created to support students’ aspirations for scientific activities.
