Today, was held a meeting with members of international programs at Zhubanov University within the framework of the international forum “Management of the quality of education in the system of higher education in Kazakhstan” and the Year of Youth on the topic “Zhasampaz eldіn zhastary”.
About 150 participants and guests attended the event. Among them are leading experts from Russia, Poland, Turkey, China, Korea, who spoke about the education system and about opportunities in foreign universities.
The vice-rector for the strategic issue Kuanyshbek Shunkeyev welcomed the participants of the forum. He noted that an international forum dedicated to improving the quality of education coincided with a historical period. In conclusion, the university’s rector wished Zhubanov’s youth to be more active, to keep up with the times and work for the benefit of science and education.
Students who have received an education in other countries talked about studying abroad. Akzerip Esenzholova 3rd year student of the Faculty of Economics and Law: “In the first half of the 2018-2019 school year, 5 university students from different faculties received a grant from the Confucius Institute for training in the financial and economic university of Urumqi according to the academic mobility program. I express my gratitude for the support and the opportunity to study at a foreign university for the rector of the University Zhubanov Bauyrzhan Erdembekov and the Confucius Institute,” noted she.
Aczerip acquainted participants with the features of the education system in China. “In China, much attention is paid to practical exercises. Thematic discussions in practical classes, various group tasks make the work of learning more diverse and interesting, so students can share their critical reviews and discover the meaning of the topic themselves. As a homework assignment, each student needs to share with daily world news. As in our education system, students take current and final exams. The International Institute of Education conducts excursions in local museums and acquaintance with the culture of China in order to popularize the leisure of foreign students. We also participated in the study of traditional Chinese martial art of wushu and Chinese writing. The program of academic mobility allowed us to not only exchange knowledge and experience abroad, but also to be acquainted with the culture of another country, adapt to the new language environment and make good friends. ”
Zhubanov University is a leading multi-disciplinary university in the western region of Kazakhstan, where more than 13,000 students study in 93 educational
programs, of which about 1,000 are foreign citizens. The university dynamically develops programs of international and national mobility.
For today, more than 125 universities and educational organizations abroad, the USA, Europe, Asia and the CIS countries are partners of ARSU. Based on the comparison of educational programs of higher education, academic mobility is implemented with leading universities in China, Russia, Poland, Turkey, Latvia and Kyrgyzstan. For example, in the 2016-2017 academic year, 42 students were educated on academic mobility in foreign universities, and in the 2017-2018 year – 133 students. 140 students passed the semester training at leading universities of the republic within the framework of the national academic mobility.
The university has seven educational programs of double diploma education. Two-degree educational programs of the university are implemented on the basis of agreements with leading foreign universities: University of Economics (Bydgoszcz), Sports Management (Poland), Kastamonu University (Turkey), Ton Min University (Busan, South Korea), Petroleum Engineering University of China China), Orenburg State Pedagogical University, Kazan State Federal University, South Ural State University (Chelyabinsk).
In 2018, the Qazaq eli centers of the Kazakh language and culture were opened at the University of Bydgoszcz (Poland), in 2019 in Turkey (Kastamonu). We also recall that on April 18, within the framework of the international forum at Zhubanov University, was opened a center of Polish culture and language.
Currently, it is planned to establish contacts with individual European universities.
