In his Address to the people of Kazakhstan on October 5, 2018, the First President of the country N. Nazarbayev emphasized the need to improve the quality of training specialists in universities. According to him, the requirements for the quality of education in educational institutions will be increased and the employment of graduates should be the main task of universities.
In this matter, Zhubanov University is actively working to strengthen contacts with employers.
Today, between KazTransOil JSC and Zhubanov University was signed an agreement on the implementation coordinated actions for the organization of professional practice for students of 3-4 courses of educational programs “Oil and Gas Business”, “Transport, transport equipment and technology”, “Chemical technology of inorganic substances”, “Chemical technology of organic substances”.
The rector of the university, Bauyrzhan Erdembekov, noted, the employment of graduates of technical specialties is currently a problematic issue. “Every year a large number of grants is allocated to technical professions by the state. Only because of the possibility of obtaining a grant, many applicants enter technical faculties, having no idea about the specialty,” said the head of the university. Moreover, practice in production, will help consolidate the theoretical knowledge of students and gain some work experience. “This is done so that students after graduation clearly know where to go to work,” says B. Erdembekov.
The Deputy General Director of KazTransOil JSC Oral Ydyrysov told about the work in the company. “One of the main requirements is knowledge of the
specifics of their specialty and labor discipline. The “Roadmap” project has been developed for the organization of paid professional practice for 20 students. Each intern will have a mentor, the company provides health insurance, food, transportation, special clothing,” said Oral Arminovich. He also focused students on the knowledge of foreign languages, which will open up wide horizon in their professional activities. According to him, in the future, the company is ready to accept students of second courses into practice.
Following the signing of the memorandum, representatives of the company proposed to open a specialized office of KazTransOil JSC at the technical faculty of the university.
Note that the university continues to work in this direction. According to the SCPP, which provide an accurate picture depending on the pension accrual, more than 75% of the graduates of ARSU were employed in the year. Of these, 134 graduates studied under the Serpіn social project. This year, thanks to the pre-employment opportunities in the framework of dual job training, 60% of graduates are provided. In the framework of cooperation with the agency of civil service and anti-corruption in high school there is a school “Mansap” for the training of civil servants. In the two years since the school opened, 58 students have studied here, 80 percent of whom got a job.
