The results of the regional selection stage of the Startup Bolashak – Menin Armanym projects competition were determined. Young entrepreneurs from 16-29 years attended the competition. About 500 applications were collected for participation in the competition in Aktobe oblast. Today 74 projects were presented, among which are startups of university students, colleges, schools, districts and independent participants.
The main purpose of the competition was to attract the most active and gifted young people, support socially important business initiatives of young entrepreneurs aimed at improving the standards of quality of life, as well as transferring advanced ones.
The ending of final competition was attended by Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations of ARSU Rakhim Beknazarov, Director of the Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Aktobe oblast Berik Nurgaliyev, expert of the Regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs Bauyrzhan Darkulov, Director of TsesnaBank Aigul Kuvatchanova, and Head of the Resparantyr Yerzhan Nurgaliyev.
The participants of the competition in the beginning passed a startup weekends and acceleration program, which were prepared by the organizers. All selected projects were registered at the time of the competition by the Regional Center for the Development of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. On the final day of the quarterfinals, the participants presented and defended their startup projects to the members of the competition committee.
According to the results among 74 startups, 24 projects passed to the final. The finalists received a ticket to a regional tour, which will be held in the city of Atyrau.
