Today, on the eve of the holidays on May 7 – Defender of the Fatherland Day and May 9 – The Victory Day at Zhubanov University was held a competition of patriotic songs “Atameken” among the faculties of the university.
The Vice-Rector for Strategic Issues of the University Kuanyshbek Shunkeyev made a congratulatory speech. “Songs of the war years and patriotic songs always leave an indelible impression and cause sincere emotions,” noted the pro-rector.
The singer, composer Nurtalap Zhusupov, the actress of the regional drama theater named after T. Akhtanov Maygul Muzbaeva, Culture Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, singer, Firuza Narman and singer, composer, head of the recording studio of the Regional Philharmonic named after. G. Zhubanova Dulat Aitzhanov.
Participants competed in two stages. In the first round, the participants sang songs of the war years and presented theatrical performances, and in the second stage, they performed the patriotic songs of Independent Kazakhstan. Also one of the important criteria was the joint performance of students and teachers.
Thus, the contestants performed well-known military songs “Katyusha”, “Smuglyanka”, “Cranes”, “Ana turaly ballada”, “Atameken”, “Kazakhstan”, etc.
In turn, the jury thanked the university management for the invitation and noted the high level of education of the participants.
According to the results of the competition, a technical faculty was awarded a diploma of the first degree, a philological faculty was awarded the second place, and the third place was awarded to the faculty of economics and law. The university administration has prepared cash prizes for the winners of the competition. The first place winners received 40 000 tenge, 2 places – 30 000 tenge, 3 place – 20 000 tenge. And the owner of the Grand Prix and a cash prize of 50,000 tenge became the professional and creative faculty.
