The VII meeting of the working Commission on coordination of activities of the Scientific and educational consortium of higher educational institutions and research institutes of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan is held in Nur Sultan.
From 20-22 June 2019, the VII meeting of the working Commission on the coordination of the Scientific and educational consortium of higher educational institutions and research institutes of Belarus and Kazakhstan is held in Nur Sultan.
The event is attended by more than 46 rectors of universities, representatives of diplomatic agencies and the Ministry of education and science of the two States.
K. Zhubanov Aktobe regional state University present Director Center for international cooperation Gulzhan Sokym, Director of the Department of academic Affairs and education quality assessment Sabyrgali Bisheken and assistant to the rector of the University Diana Toumanova.
The meeting is held under the guidance of the rector of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian national University, Chairman of the Council of rectors of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sydykov.
Vice-Minister of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bibigul Asylova, Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan Anatoli Nichkasov, President of Nazarbayev University Shigeo Katsu, rector of the Belarusian national technical University Sergey Kharitonchik made a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. They noted that the Kazakh-Belarusian scientific and educational Consortium, established in 2011 on the initiative of the two heads of state — Nursultan Nazarbayev and Alexander Lukashenko, has led to the implementation of cluster innovation development programs, and today’s VII meeting will be an effective platform for the exchange of experience and development of solutions that contribute to the development in the field of education, science and innovation of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The meeting was held in three breakout sessions in the following areas:
— the results of the action Plan of the Scientific and educational consortium between higher education institutions and research institutes of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2017-2018;
— trends in the development and integration of higher education in the Eurasian educational space;
— broadcasting of innovative experience of Nazarbayev University in the field of education and science.
The results of the first day of the VII meeting of the working Commission on coordination of the Scientific and educational Consortium of higher education institutions and research institutes of Belarus and Kazakhstan was the approval of the joint action Plan for 2019-2020.
Also, the meeting of the working Commission became a platform for strengthening cooperation with Belarusian partners and establishing new partnerships with other higher education institutions by members of the Scientific and educational consortium.
Director of the Center for international cooperation Gulzhan Shokym held talks with the rector of the Belarusian state technological University I. V. Voitov and the rector of the Belarusian national technical University S. V. Kharitonchik on international cooperation in the field of education and science. With a strategic Belarusian partner, Yanka Kupala Grodno state University, who was represented by the Vice-rector for scientific work Romanovsky Yu. Ya., held talks on further cooperation, namely the implementation of the program of double-degree education and participation in summer schools for students and teachers of the University.
