The dream of every schooler is to be an educated, qualified specialist in the future. The project “Zhubanov kerueni” is aimed precisely at ensuring that schoolers of the districts of Aktobe region made the right choice and decided on the future profession. In Temir district representatives of Zhubanov University met with 300 school graduates and their parents.
Within the framework of the project, an exhibition of educational programs, fairs of student clubs, master classes, competitions for discounts on tuition fees and other gifts were organized. Here, school graduates got acquainted with information about the academic programs of the University, the possibilities of admission to the grant and the conditions of study, received advice from teachers and talked with students.
Among the guests of the event was a graduate of Zhubanov University Amanbay Nurmukhanbetov, who is now Deputy akim of Temir district. “This project is aimed at establishing close ties between the local executive authorities and the University, the further development of the program “With a diploma to the village.” I am convinced that such acquaintance of our residents with educational directions, demanded specialties opens great opportunities for schoolers and teachers. We must always meet the new requirements and trends of modernity”, – noted Amanbay Nurmukhanbetov.
According to the Deputy akim, there are 25 secondary schools in Temir district with coverage of more than 7 thousand children and 5 organizations of additional education. Moreover, in educational institutions more than 500 specialists are graduates of Zhubanov University. Only this year, 19 young professionals-graduates of ARSU are employed in the organization of education of Temir district.
During the meeting, the rector of the University, Professor Bauyrzhan Yerdembekov congratulated those present on the 150th anniversary of the Temir district and noted the identity of its residents: “Temir district is one of the fundamental districts of the region, which has a deep history and is developing in accordance with modern requirements. I am sure that the younger generation has an individuality and a special talent. It is our duty to promote these qualities.”
In addition, Bauyrzhan Yerdembekov stressed that today there are acute issues of the quality of secondary education in urban and rural schools and the shortage of qualified teachers in rural areas, which the University is ready to solve together with local Executive authorities.
During the career guidance event in the district House of culture was held the action ” Choose a profession!”, according to the results of which 3 school graduates received a 25% discount on tuition at Zhubanov University.
In turn, Vice-rector for social and educational work of the University Nurzhan Berdybayev told about the rules of admission to the UNIVERSITY, and Vice-rector for educational and methodical work Bibigul Abenova elaborated on the level of education of the University, innovative educational programs.
In the framework of the project “Zhubanov Kerueni”, given the specificity of the area and development of oil and gas industry, in order to train local specialists in Shubarkuduk gymnasium was opened a branch of the Department “Oil and gas”. To address the issue of eliminating the shortage of subject teachers in schools of remote settlements, teachers of the faculty of physics and mathematics launched a joint work at the new Department “Physics, Mathematics”.
Management, teachers of Temir district, as well as schoolers thanked the staff of the University Zhubanov for useful information and new opportunities. “This year I pass the UNT. I chose the subject “Mathematics”. I think that after school I will go to Zhubanov University, I know that in Kazakhstan it is one of the best universities, so to be a student of such an educational institution is my dream,” shared her impressions Danagul Zinolla, a graduate of 4 Shubarkuduk gymnasium,.
At the end of the event, student activists organized a concert program and gave a good mood to all those present.
