” ZHUBANOV KERUENI ” IN THE HOMELAND OF KUDAIBERGEN ZHUBANOV

An hour and a half to Kandahash, and then another forty or forty–five minutes on the shortest route, and now from a high slope you can see the native village of the Zhubanov family.

Zhanaturmys is the small homeland of Kudaibergen and Eset Zhubanov. It was here that a small delegation of the regional University, the leadership of Mugalzhar district and journalists came to honor the memory of famous scientists.

A village cemetery is located on a hill a little further up. Kuan-Kudaibergen’s father, Eset and his children are buried here, and the place of the old family burial is marked by a small kulpytas.

There are 30 houses in Zhanaturmys village. It is noteworthy that the villagers have preserved the place where once stood the house of Zhubanovs. This place is marked by a sign. And very near the well Kuana ata. Once upon a time, the well dug by the elder Zhubanov still waters the villagers with clean underground water.

In the only rural school, two classrooms are dedicated to Kudaibergen and Eset Zhubanov. The rector of the regional University Bauyrzhan Yerdembekov solemnly handed over to the Director of the school books about Zhubanovs: biobibliography, a complete collection of scientific works of Kudaibergen Zhubanov, reprinted in honor of his 120th anniversary and a collection of articles translated into several languages linguist.

In addition, within the framework of the project “Zhubanov kerueni” the delegation of the teaching-staff of Zhubanov University together with students met with future graduates and their parents.

Students and teachers told the students about studying at the University, and the vice-rector of the University Nurzhan Berdybaev in his speech elaborated on the problem of choice of specialty and the forthcoming UNT and answered all questions.

During the event, the pedagogical faculty opened a branch of the Department “Pedagogy, psychology and primary education”, and five students of local schools left without parental care were awarded Zhubanov grants.  The University administration also thanked the parents of Mugalzhar district for educating a purposeful, creative generation of young zhubanovites.
