First-course students of the faculty of Philology allowed themselves to joke and have fun today. As expected at the Initiation of students, youth performed incendiary dances and songs in different languages, including English and Turkish. And sketches on the topic of student life, filled with tests, sessions, trips to the cinema and romantic meetings, made everyone sitting in the hall smile.
Dean of the faculty of Philology Kulzat Sadirova congratulated the freshmen on the holiday, wished to justify their hopes, recalling the meaning of the word “student”. “From Latin “student” means hard working, studying. “Philology” is from the Greek – ” love of the word.” Whoever you are, a specialist of Kazakh, Russian, foreign languages, interpreter, literary critic-there should always be a love for the word, ” the Dean said, awarding the best students with diplomas.
It should be noted that today about 1500 students study at the faculty of Philology, 473 of them are first-course students, 22 people are holders of the sign “Altyn belgi” and 11-certificates with honors.
