The first-year students of the technical, physical and mathematical faculties and the faculty of natural sciences had their first student holiday. 1100 first – year students, 80 of them are holders of the sign “Altyn belgi”, study at the three faculties presented on this day at the celebration. Young people have already passed the first milestone control, jointly participated in the activities of the University, and now officially initiated into students.
The rector of the University Bauyrzhan Yerdembekov congratulated the young zhubanovites, wishing to represent his Alma mater with dignity, to be active participants in the scientific, cultural and social life of the University. “You chose Zhubanov University among 5 thousand first-year students. I wish you a rich student life during these 4 years. When we studied at the 1st year, the time and lives were different-now all doors are open for science and creativity,” the rector said, adding that teachers want to see their students in the future as good specialists and be proud of their graduates.
After the parting words of the chief teacher, the first-year students took a solemn oath.
The festival was accompanied by a bright concert program with performances of creative students, charismatic KVN students and dancers of the ensemble “Heart of the Caucasus”. A lottery with prizes was also held for the participants of the event.
