Students of Zhubanov University who are trying their hand at volunteering and activists of volunteer organizations of the university met with representatives of the Department of justice of the Aktobe region.
The meeting was organized in order to attract volunteer lawyers to work on improving the legal literacy of the population and providing advice to citizens on legal issues.
Vice-rector for social and educational work of Zhubanov University Nurzhan Berdybayev noted the importance of joint work on the development and promotion of volunteer activities.
Head of the Department of justice of the Aktobe region Bekbolat Kolumbaev, Chairman of the regional Chamber of bailiffs of the Aktobe region Manap Niyazbaev, Chairman of the chamber of legal consultants of the Aktobe region Anes Tasybaev and other participants of the meeting addressed the students, inviting them to implement joint projects and provide legal assistance to Aktobe residents.
Artem Konyakhin, head of the notary chamber of the Aktobe region, spoke about the experience of volunteering during his student years, stressing that volunteering can become an excellent practice and experience for further work. Artem Konyakhin also noted that the notary chamber, as a long-time partner of Zhubanov University, is ready to invite students not only for practical training, but also as volunteers.
Today, Zhubanov University has five student volunteer clubs with more than 500 participants, each of which works in its own direction: social, educational, environmental, etc. In order to activate volunteer initiatives, as well as the correct formation of youth understanding of volunteerism, the University opened a school of volunteers at the Academy “ProActive-2020”, where students, undergraduates, school students and young professionals are trained.
