The rector of Zhubanov university met with representatives of the student choir. The young choiral group has recently shown excellent results not only at the city level, but also at the republican level.
In February the guys won the Grand Prix of the “Astana Grand Festival” international competition. Bauyrzhan Yerdembekov congratulated students and choir director Merbol Kuspanov on the victory and wished them further success, noting that the university is ready to continue supporting their talents.
The student choir exists at Zhubanov University for 2 years, about a year young team headed by Merbol Kuspanov, a well-known conductor in the city, who is also the artistic director and conductor of the Kazakh Chamber Choir of the Regional Philharmonic. According to Merbol, his task as a leader is to revael the potential of talented students, to show that they can be the best at national and international competitions.
At the meeting with the Rector, Merbol Kuspanov spoke about the positive reviews from musicians of the Republican Public Association of Conductors of Kazakhstan on the student choir of Zhubanov University and further plans to perform at the invitation of colleagues from Europe.
During the conversation, the issue of performances of the choir on city and university holidays was also raised, in particular, on celebration of the 175th anniversary of Abai and 85th anniversary of Zhubanov University. Besides, Bauyrzhan Yerdembekov shared his vision of development of art and told about importance of creativity in education of youth.
