Aktobe Regional University gathered scientists from Russia, Poland, Hungary, China, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan within the framework of Science Week. The traditional event for the university this time was held in online format.
In addition to educational activities, Zhubanov University provides students with an opportunity to engage in science, both applied and fundamental. In particular, from year to year there is an increase in costs for the purchase of scientific and educational laboratories for scientific research in the field of natural and mathematical sciences, engineering and humanities, this year it is planned to purchase laboratories to the amount of 380 million tons.
Joint scientific works in the field of crystal physics with the international scientific centers of Estonia and Belarus, philologists on the problems of Turkicology with the scientific centers of Turkey, in new developments and methods in training sports managers with colleagues from Poland and Russia, etc. are being carried out. In order to encourage the involvement of young people in science, for the first time this year Zhubanov University announced a competition for “Grant of Young Scientists” for the total amount of about 100 million tenge.
The traditional platform for summarizing the interim results of the scientific activities of students (undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students), as well as the teaching staff is the Week of Science at Zhubanov University, dedicated to the Science Day of Kazakhstan. The feature of this year was that the Week of Science was held online. According to Rakhim Beknazarov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of Zhubanov University, who, in his video message on social networks, congratulated the participants on the great scientific event, despite the difficult situation in the country and the world and the transition to distance learning, the planned Week of Science was held at a high level, and the distance format only expanded the range of participants. “Scientific achievements presented at Science Week, contacts with colleagues, results of scientific discussions will give an opportunity to further develop the science of Zhubanov University and Kazakhstan,” – said Rakhim Beknazarov.
Competitions, national and regional seminars, conferences and even an eco-fair were organised as part of Science Week. One of the major events was the XVI Scientific and Practical Conference “Youth, Science and Innovation”, where more than 270 scientific works were presented. The online conference was held in 9 sections, where young researchers discussed modern problems in the field of IT-technologies, physical and mathematical, social and humanitarian, natural and philological sciences, raised issues of national economy development, management and law, pedagogy, psychology, training technologies, creative specialties and many others.
During live broadcasts in social networks and online meetings through various electronic resources, students of Zhubanov University were able to communicate with young scientists from other countries. For example, among the many meetings there were round tables with the participation of researchers of the Loranda Etvosh Budapest University on the topic of advanced technologies of waste processing in the production of aluminum, and with the scientists of M.Akmulla Bashkir State Pedagogical University, H.Dosmukhamedov Kazakh National Women Pedagogical University and Atyrau State University the students and master students discussed the phenomenon of personalities of A.Kunanbayev and Al-Farabi.
At the end of the Science Week were announced:
“The best faculty of 2020” – Physics and Mathematics faculty;
“The best faculty in 2020” – Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Special Education;
“The best doctoral candidate of PhD 2020” Akylbek Zhamanshin, PhD in Mathematics;
“The best master’s student of 2020” Master’s degree in Pedagogy and Psychology Aizhan Sabradinova;
“The Best Student of 2020” – a student of physics and mathematics faculty Tumar Muhanbetzhan;
“The Best scientist of 2020” – associate professor of “Physics” department Lyudmila Myasnikova;
“The Best Young Scientist of 2020” (under 35 years) – teacher of the Department of Metallurgy and Mining Asylbek Abdyrashit.
“The Best Educational Program in 2020” – Kazakh Philology.
School graduates were also involved in the activities of the Science Week. Thus, the Regional Olympiad in Russian language and literature was organized for schoolchildren. Among 30 pupils of schools of Aktobe and Aktobe region on results of two rounds winners who have received 20, 35 and 50% privileges on payment for training have been defined.
It should be noted that Zhubanov University is doing its best to develop the existing potential for scientific research, stimulate and encourage the work of scientific schools of physicists, mathematicians, philologists and other areas of science.
