Applications for the educational grant competition will be accepted from 13 to 20 July. The competition itself will be held from July 21 to 31. This was announced by Adilet Toibayev, Director of the Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the online briefing.
This year, 53,864 educational grants were allocated for undergraduate students, 13,300 for masters and 2,355 for doctoral students. The quotas for the disabled of 1, 2 groups, rural youth, orphans, participants of the program “Serpin” and ethnic kazakhs who have returned to their homeland are preserved.
The application procedure will be done online. On the website of e-government it is possible to select specific groups of educational programs, universities and send applications for participation in the competition. The application should be accompanied by an education document, UNT certificate, medical certificate on form 086-U, a copy of an identity document.
According to the results of the competition, the applicant on the portal receives a reply about the award or not awarding the grant. If the answer is positive, the applicant receives an electronic certificate of grant. If the applicant is underage and, if there is no EDS, legal representatives can apply.
It is necessary to notice that after reception of the electronic certificate, the applicant will need to appear in due time in university and to conclude the contract on rendering educational services. If this is not done, the enrollment will not be implemented and will not come into legal force.
