Zhubanov University for Children invites schoolers aged 11-17 to become students!
Children’s University is a meeting place for modern scientists and specialists in various fields of science with children who lack a school program. Today such centers are successfully functioning in many developed countries of the world. Taking into account this positive experience, “Children’s University” was established at Zhubanov University on 2 September, 2019.
“Children’s University” is about including children in the modernization of higher education. All decisions made today in science and education are important for tomorrow’s students and researchers.
The educational project is designed for children aged 11 to 17 years, which implements programs of additional education of scientific and cognitive, creative and developmental areas. The essence of the project is to fascinate children with science and modern technologies in an interesting and accessible form, to guide them in the choice of modern professions, to teach them research and design, as well as to prepare them for successful entry into higher education. The project helps to develop children’s curiosity by offering an original teaching method different from the usual school, based on increased experimentation, visibility, interactivity and mass communication.
There are no exams, and everything else is for real. Classes are held in classrooms and scientific laboratories of the university.
Asking questions, making hypotheses, experimenting, looking for answers, getting new knowledge and skills – you can now enter the world of science and higher education without waiting for graduation!
Children’s University has six areas:
– Engineering (basic programming, robotics, 3D modeling);
– Economic and legal (business, law);
– Art (drawing, dancing, needlework);
– Psychologist (practical psychology);
– Social and pedagogical (foreign languages, history, mathematics);
– Natural science (basics of biology, ecology, physics, chemistry, food technology).
The first semester starts on 15 September.
