Today Zhubanov University management and the Association of Silk Road Universities met.
Altynshash Bekbauova, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Gulzhan Shokym, Director of the Center for International Cooperation at Zhubanov University, and Ainur Baytelesova, Vice-Minister of the Association of Silk Road Universities, discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in education and science. In particular: promotion of double degree education and academic mobility programs for undergraduate and graduate students in Asian universities; international internships for teaching staff and management; establishing contacts with foreign scientists to open research laboratories, development of joint projects, etc. At the meeting it was stressed that cooperation with foreign universities will be built bilaterally, scientists from Zhubanov University are ready to present their developments in the international arena. During the pandemic, all programs will work remotely.
Vice Minister of the Association of Universities of the Silk Road countries noted that Zhubanov University has a positive image, and the organization is ready to become a reliable intermediary in establishing mutually beneficial ties with universities of South Korea, Malaysia, China, India and CIS countries. In addition, Ainur Baitelesova emphasized that the obvious advantage of Zhubanov University as a strategic partner is the language training of students, which is carried out due to the availability of language courses in Korean, Chinese and English at Zhubanov University.
The Association of Universities and Consulting Companies of the Silk Road countries has been operating since 2016. The main direction of the association is promotion of educational projects within the framework of educational development programs in the Silk Road countries. At present, members of the Association are about 100 educational institutions in China, South Korea, Malaysia, India and the CIS.
