Zhubanov University students are ready to argue with anyone who says that the profession of chemist or biologist is boring. While some science students are developing new cucumber varieties, growing flowers and healthy herbs in a university greenhouse, others are practicing food production skills by preparing sweets, pastries and semi-finished meat products.
Today the Department of Social Affairs and Youth Policy organized an exhibition of achievements of Zhubanov University faculties. In addition to the students of the Faculty of Natural History, who had a tasting of new varieties of cucumbers and products prepared by students of the opened this year’s specialty “technology of food products”, the results of their scientific and creative work were shown by future teachers. Students and teachers of the Faculty of Pedagogy on the basis of the children’s educational center “Zerek” at Zhubanov University are inventing Montessori simulators and educational games. The students put useful “development” games into practice during classes with children.
The exhibition also presented the works of students of the specialty “design”: from creative protective masks and carved wooden products, to sketches of clothes and interior design projects. The participants of scientific circles of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics demonstrated 3D models and robots.
All projects are implemented by students in laboratories and on practical bases of faculties. It should be noted that with the help of the Zhubanov University Center for Entrepreneurship Development, they can become successful startups. The nearest goal is to synthesize existing projects in creating their own student canteen.
