A charity event in the form of “Akkogershin” concert, organized by the Department on Social Problems and Youth policy of K. Zhubanov University, took place within “Happy Child (Bakytty bala)” regional project. The purpose of the action is to give a chance of involvement of disabled people in the sphere of art and culture, formation of the students’ spiritual and human qualities, establishing links between specialized schools and higher educational institutions.
The charitable action was opened with an opening speech by Rector of the University Bauyrzhan Erdembekov. “Today’s action should not be one-day, it must develop. Akim of the region Berdybek Saparbayev began this year with the “Happy Child”, “Happy Childhood” actions. It is good, each child must be happy. In support of the initiative of akim of the region, our University is planning to open “Zerek” children’s center where several children’s departments will function by June 1 – the World Children’s Day. Children of our teaching staff and employees, children from the districts and the city of Aktobe will also be able to develop their abilities in the center. We are planning to cover about 50 directions, such as psychological assistance, vocal, dances, sections of musical instruments etc.”, he shared his plans for the future.
The concert was opened with “Toybastar” dance performed by “Azeri” ballet show consisting of pupils of Aktobe regional specialized boarding school-college for children with hearing disorders. About 30 teachers and 20 pupils of this specialized institution and students of our higher education institution took part in the concert.
Gifts for pupils of specialized boarding school-college were funded by the money raised at the concert, and the remaining money will be contributed to the fund for the needy people.
