Career Week 2021: Motivation, Recommendations for Action, Employment

Lifting matchboxes instead of weights for four hours in a row to practice the technique in detail, or writing a thousand business proposals and getting only seven responses. Don’t give up!

That’s how Evgeny Goncharov lives his life. A graduate of Zhubanov University, now a 12-time World Champion, 27-time Champion of Kazakhstan, 3-time European Champion, Honored Master of Sports in kettlebell lifting RK and the head of the regional department of physical culture and sport, shared the secrets of success with the students of Zhubanov University. During the online meeting the holder of dozens of achievements told about the main recipe for victory – set the goal.

Evgeny Goncharov: As a little boy I dreamt of winning at least one competition, but I’ve had a long sports career, because every time I set a goal, wrote it down and worked on it. I started my managerial career in a sports club, then I gained experience as a manager in a mall. When I realized that I wanted to contribute to society, I set another goal and joined the civil service.

Another motivational meeting today was a conversation between students and the Akim of the Taldysai Rural District.  Kazbek Akkayir in 2020 became the best akim among rural leaders in Kazakhstan. His project to develop the rural district and solve socio-economic problems was among the best. The enterprising official in a short time was able to achieve that in the county appeared 4G communication, developed design and estimate documentation for the construction of village roads and a new school for 100 places, as well as a business plan to create an apple orchard for 5 million tenge.

Today, Zhubanov University has launched a career week. Within 5 days, job fairs, meetings with successful Aktobe citizens, representatives of HR-companies, heads of districts and companies of the city will be organized for students.

Within the framework of Career Week days of employment are planned where meetings with employees of employment agencies will take place and also an electronic fair of vacancies will take place. It is worth noting that at the end of May Zhubanov University was one of the first universities in Kazakhstan to hold a digital fair for its graduates and employers. The main goal of the online platform is a simple and quick way for Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates to find employment. The spring job fair received applications from 45 companies and institutions, and about 100 graduates were invited to work.

The discussion platforms will bring together representatives of HR companies who will talk about HR Digital, trends and digital technologies in human resource management.

In addition to the keynote speakers, the online event will include representatives from career centers of Kazakhstan universities, who will share their experiences in employing graduates.
