A TOEFL practice test was organized in Zhubanov University. Those wishing to take the international exam took the preliminary test for free. As the participants (48 people applied) noted, it was a very convenient format in order to check the level of their preparation. Among those who want to take TOEFL are teachers of universities, who improve their knowledge for entering doctoral studies or teaching in multilingual groups, as well as those wishing to enter master’s programs and universities abroad.
Testing and certification will begin in March. Zhubanov University also opened preparatory courses with a teacher of international qualification TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), a trainer in English language teaching methodology for teachers of STEM subjects and English language.
Recall that last year Zhubanov University joined the ETS Global network and became an officially accredited TOEFL ITP, TOEIC examination center in the Western Region, issuing international certificates.
