Scientists Discuss the Role of Language and Literature in Multicultural Space

The international scientific-practical conference “Language and literature in a multicultural space: problems, ideas, development trends” was held in Zhubanov University. Philologists from Turkey, Kazakhstan and Russia in the online format discussed current issues of linguistics, multicultural education, the ethno-linguistic situation in the regions and many others.

At the online meeting Mr. Ferhat Karabulut, doctor of philological sciences, professor, Jalal Bayar University (Manisa, Turkey) has shared the hypothesis of critical age in mastering languages; Baktygul Kurmanova, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor of the K. Zhubanov  Aktobe Regional University has told about Russian language in the language and ethnolinguistic situation of Aktobe region.

A doctor of philological sciences, professor of the Altai State Pedagogical University (Barnaul, Russia) also made a speech for the participants of the conference. For several years Alexander Kulyapin participated in the program of international academic mobility, giving lectures for students of Zhubanov University.

Dr. Irina Prosvirkina, professor of  Orenburg State University (Orenburg, Russia), in her report focused on the new challenges affecting changes in Russian language teaching. In her welcoming speech, the professor stressed that the students and masters of Aktobe always show a high level of training and are the best students of Orenburg State University. In turn, Dean of Philological Faculty Kulzat Sadirova noted the importance of exchange of experience and close scientific ties between the universities.

Rakhym Beknazarov spoke at the conference about the importance of openness of education, scientific and educational cooperation, as well as development of the multilingual Kazakh society. Acting Rector of the University Zhubanov thanked the scientists for their participation in the conference and joint work to preserve and develop the Russian language as a source of information, fundamental knowledge and communication.
