Today on Political Repression Victims’ Memorial Day, students and staff of Zhubanov University paid tribute to the great scholar Kudaibergen Zhubanov, whose life was unjustly interrupted.
On November 19, 1937 Kudaibergen Zhubanov was declared an enemy of the people and by decision of the “exit troika” was shot on the first day of mass executions of prominent state and public figures of Kazakhstan.
On October 3, 1957 he was posthumously rehabilitated for the lack of corpus delicti.
Alikhan Bukeykhan, Akhmet Baitursynov, Myrzhakyp Dulatov, Mukhamejan Tynyshbaev and Saken Seyfullin and other state and public figures were also among those innocently punished.
