Today the opening of the online language camp “Qazaq tili” took place at Zhubanov University. The summer course was organized by the Center for International Cooperation of the university as part of the activities of the laboratory “Studying the Language Process of Modern Turkic Languages” and is especially relevant during the transition of the Kazakh language to the Latin alphabet. As the director of the center Gulzhan Shokym has noted, the main purpose of the camp is recognition of the Latin alphabet, establishment of the intercultural relations between the countries and popularization of the Kazakh language and Kazakh culture abroad.
From July 1-15, Zhubanov University teachers will hold master classes for students from Turkey and Uzbekistan, as well as Kazakhstani universities, on linguistic culture, intercultural communication, music, painting and cinema. Among them is Bagila Muratbek, Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor at Zhubanov University’s Kazakh Philology Department. The scholar taught Kazakh language at Castomonu University under the program of academic mobility and participated in the opening of the cultural center “Qazaq eli” at the Turkish university.
Acting Rector Rakhym Beknazarov wished good luck to all the participants of the summer language camp, and noted its importance in the development and popularization of Kazakh language. Representatives of the cultural center “Qazaq eli” of Kaztamonu University, Haci Bayram Uali University in Ankara, the National Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Karabuk University (Turkey); Center for International Cooperation of Taraz Regional University named after Dulati, Language Training Center of Language Development Department of Aktobe region, International Kazakh-Turkish University named after Khoja Ahmed Yassavi and others took part in the opening of the camp in online format.
