Acceptance of documents for the educational grant competition ended just yesterday, July 26. The procedure was conducted online through the e-government portal Egov. The university’s specialists processed more than 5,000 applications for the educational grant competition.
In the distribution of educational grants in 2021-2022 academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science has allocated quotas for socially vulnerable populations. Now children from large or single-parent families, as well as those applicants whose families raise children with special needs, will have a better chance of receiving a grant.
A total of 56,000 grants are available for undergraduate admission for the 2021-2022 academic year, and this year, due to the President’s directive, the total number of grants increased by 5,000. Engineering, manufacturing and construction, and pedagogical sciences received the largest number of grants.
Zhubanov University was allocated 220 grants under the pedagogical quota.
More than 13,000 grants were allocated to graduate programs and more than 1,800 to doctoral programs. Educational grants are distributed in accordance with the data of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the RK and information from employers about their staffing needs.
Zhubanov University provides discounts and grants for education. Winners of Olympiads and competitions, “Altyn Belgi” sign holders, orphans, citizens of other countries and the representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora get discounts. In addition, during their studies for excellent academic performance and various achievements, students can become recipients of Zhubanov grants and receive discounts from sponsors and major companies in the region.
Zhubanov University is constantly updating its educational programs to meet the needs of the market. From this year, Zhubanov University students will be able to study such educational programs as cyberpedagogy, clinical psychology, automation and management, recycling technology, cultural and leisure work, English language and computer science, landscape design, integrated transport logistics. Since last year, together with the Medical University, specialists in IT-medicine are being trained.
