Zhubanov University hosted a meeting of rectors of universities in the western region. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Kuanysh Yergaliev.
At the meeting the heads of Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov, West Kazakhstan Medical University named after M. Ospanov, Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov, Atyrau University of Oil and Gas named after S. Utebayev, Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Esenov, West Kazakhstan University named after M.Utemisov, West Kazakhstan Agrarian and Technical University named after Zhangir-khan, Kazakh-Russian International University, etc. discussed the preparation for the new academic year and shared their vision on improving the level of science and education, the use of the potential of universities.
They touched upon the issues of effective use of the grants, the specialists’ drain, the regional principle on preparation of the in-demand personnel, including researchers, attraction of foreign students, opening of the branches of the universities in the borderland countries and many other things.
According to the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Kuanysh Yergaliev, this meeting is aimed at identifying topical issues on the ground, which will be jointly solved.
