As part of the implementation of the President’s instructions and the election program of the Nur Otan party, scholarships for students, undergraduates and doctoral students of Kazakhstani universities have been increased since September 1 of this year. Scholarships for bachelors have been increased by 20%, for undergraduates and doctoral students – by 15%.
“If translated into figures, the bachelor’s scholarship has increased from 26,186 tenge to 31,423 tenge. University students studying in pedagogical specialties, instead of the previous 42,000 tenge, will now receive 50,400 tenge. We have fulfilled the President’s instructions and significantly increased the scholarship of future doctors. Instead of 26,186 tenge, they will receive 50,400 tenge. Let me also remind you that in January last year, the bachelor’s scholarship was increased by 25% on behalf of the Head of State. In fact, over the past two years, the scholarship of undergraduate students has been increased by almost 2 times,” Vice Minister of Education and Science Kuanysh Yergaliev stressed.
