Sayat Kunshashev, a first-year student of the professional and creative faculty of Zhubanov University, became the best at the Kickboxing World Cup. The 26th Kickboxing World Cup ended yesterday in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The competition brought together more than 3,000 participants from 45 countries of the world, the press service of the university reports.
More recently, another champion returned with a victory. Zhubanov University student Nurkanat Azhikanov won gold at the CIS Games in Kazan. Nurkanat, who previously competed at the Tokyo Olympics, won a gold medal at competitions in which the best karate players from 10 countries of the world took part. Speaking in the weight category of 75 kilograms, the athlete held three meetings and won all the fights with a clear advantage.
Recall that more than 2 thousand delegates took part in the CIS Games held in early September. The national team of Kazakhstan won 18 gold medals and took the fourth team place in the standings.
