On the eve of the professional holiday of teachers, the results of the republican contest “The Best teacher — 2021” were summed up. 64 school teachers and college teachers became the best in their profession. The 10th anniversary ceremony of awarding the best teachers coincided with the 180th anniversary of the famous Kazakh teacher Ybyray Altynsarin. Therefore, the solemn event was held in the city of Kostanay, in the historical homeland of the outstanding educator.
The best teachers of the country were congratulated by the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov and personally handed them badges and cash certificates in the amount of about 3 million tenge (1000 MCI).
“Dear teachers, I congratulate you on your professional holiday – Teacher’s Day. The competition “The best teacher” this year is special. It takes place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of Independence of our country and the 180th anniversary of the great educator, teacher Ybyray Altynsarin. To be honest, a lot of works were submitted to the competition, and it was very difficult for the jury to choose the winners, because the level of all applications received was very high. This suggests that there are a lot of wonderful, strong, professional teachers in our country. Teachers who love children. Teachers who give their all for the benefit of serving society, educate and support the younger generation,” Minister Askhat Aimagambetov said in his congratulatory speech.
He thanked the teachers for the fact that, despite the difficulties during the pandemic, they were able to quickly adapt to new conditions and continue the educational process.
“The most important thing is that in our country during the pandemic, the educational process did not stop, did not stop. And we were able to transfer knowledge to our children for these one and a half years as well. This is a great merit of our fellow teachers. I would like to express my special gratitude to you and wish all teachers good health, success, and well-being,” Askhat Aimagambetov said.
It should be noted that the Republican Competition Commission included representatives of public associations, non-governmental organizations, the parent community, NCE “Atameken”, journalists, active teachers, representatives of the Kazakhstan Branch Trade Union of Education and Science Workers, etc. In addition to the republican award, the winners of the “Best Teacher” competition received cash prizes, which were approved by local akimats. At a solemn event on the eve of the Teacher’s Day with medals “Enbek ardageri”, badges “Y. Altynsarin” and “Honorary Worker of Education” were also awarded to veterans and honored workers in the field of education.
