Today, at a meeting of the Academic Council, the leadership of Zhubanov University summed up the results of the last academic year and shared the tasks for 2021-2022. Rector Laura Karabasova noted the confident position of Zhubanov University in the national ranking and the positive dynamics of the increase in the contingent of students and settled teachers.
The Rector focused on the issues of high-quality training of competitive personnel and improving the university’s management. She focused on increasing the scientific potential of the university, making suggestions on improving the effectiveness of scientific research, creating conditions for teachers engaged in science.
Laura Karabasova’s report included such important points of strategic development of Zhubanov University as internationalization and international cooperation, education of a harmoniously developed personality based on universal values, infrastructure development. Large-scale measures in the field of digitalization and the organization of research and social and educational work were touched upon.
The meeting participants also heard a report by the head of the Career guidance department and the admissions committee, Rauan Zhaltyrbaeva, who spoke about the formation of the contingent of students and the ongoing career guidance work.
In addition, congratulations were received at the meeting by Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Askarbek Imanchiev with the assignment of the academic title of associate professor (associate professor) in the specialty “Mathematics”, Master in the specialty “Jurisprudence” Akylbek Konysov with diplomas from Zhubanov University and Grodno State University.
