Teachers of Zhubanov University will act as experts in the development of the school curriculum in mathematics and teacher training. Head of the Department of Mathematics Madina Tleubergenova and teacher Zahira Nugayeva took part in the republican congress “Mathematical education at school: state, problems, recommendations”.
At the meeting, the issues of the content of mathematical education in school, evaluation of students’ academic achievements, improvement of teachers’ professional competencies, development of scientific projects, etc. were raised.
According to Madina Tleubergenova, one of the topics raised by experts was the interaction of schools and universities for high-quality training of specialists. Such work, for example, is already underway at our university — school teachers conduct some classes for students, and university mathematicians share their experience with colleagues and teach schoolchildren. Branches of the department have been opened in schools, where joint scientific activities are also conducted.
The event with the participation of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov brought together more than 300 math teachers, teachers of higher educational institutions, methodologists and scientists of Kazakhstan.
