Zhubanov University together with universities of Central Asia won a grant in accordance with the goals of the UN SDGs for universities of Central Asia on the modernization of the curriculum — Climate Action and Sustainable Development (“Modernizing Curriculum towards the Goals of UN SDGs for Central Asian Universities – Climate Action and Sustainability Development”)
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to hold a seminar on two Sustainable Development Goals: “Climate action” and “Sustainable cities and communities”. The main speakers and panelists from the USA will conduct courses on global climate change (GCC), Sustainable Development (SD), Research Design (RD), Applied Ecology and Adaptation (AEA), Land cover and Land Use science (LULCS).
Zhubanov University teachers, together with other seminar participants, experts from the USA and partners from Central Asia, will jointly develop and implement courses to maximize the impact and sustainability of partnerships.
The project was developed in partnership with Pace University and universities from Kyrgyzstan (American University of Central Asia, Kyrgyz International University) Uzbekistan (Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, Uzbek National University), Tajikistan (University of Central Asia) and Kazakhstan (Zhubanov University, Kazakh National Agrarian University).
