Dean of the College of Sciences at the Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), physicist and materials scientist Simon Redfern gave another lecture to faculty and students of Zhubanov University.
This time Professor presented his topic on: “Science Communication: the process of promoting scientific ideas in society.” Simon Redfern spoke about the writing style of an academic article, methods of conducting research on the subject of the article by media representatives and scientists. Speaking about the publication of scientific articles in the press, relations between scientists and the media, he gave examples of some scientific studies written in understandable language for media purpose.
To remind, Simon Redfern is a leading foreign scholar at Zhubanov University. He is the head of a number of large-scale research projects and the author of over 260 peer-reviewed publications (Google h-index 62).
