This action was organized by Professional and Creative faculty of the University.
First of all student teams competed in volleyball. As a result “Zhenis” team of hostel No. 2 won the first place, “Zhiger” team of the House of Youth No. 3 were the second, and “Sunkar” team of hostel No. 1 received the third place.
National sports did not stand aside. Competitions in rope pulling, weight lifting, arm-wrestling were also organized. Following the results of these competitions the student of the 4 course majoring in “Physical culture and sport” Nagashybay Akimbayev became a champion in weight lifting of 24 kg, the student of the 2 course majoring in “Construction” to Zhanarys Bituganov was the second, and the student of the 2 course majoring in “Physical culture and sport” Talgat Abenov got the third place.
The results in armressling are as follows: the student of the 4th course of the Technical faculty Almasbek Rakhmanberdiyev – 1 place; the student of the 2d course of Physical and Mathematical faculty Nurzhan Adilov – the 2nd place; the student of the 2d course of Professional and Creative faculty Talagat Abenov – the 3rd place.
The winners were awarded with monetary prizes, allocated by the Labor Union of the University.
In the course of the competition the head of the department of Physical culture and sport, candidate of pedagogical sciences, professor T.A. Botagariyev; lecturer of the department “Physical culture and sport” B.K. Bakytzhanova delivered lectures to the students who live in the hostel.
