A festive action devoted to the commemoration of heroes of the Great Patriotic War was held at the Hero Avenue today. It was organized by the memorial museum of A. Moldagulova.
Descendants of Aktobe heroes, representatives of the city akimat, regional and city Council of Veterans, Department of internal affairs, soldiers internationalists of the Afghan war, representatives of public associations participated in this action.
During the action a moment of silence was announced in memory of all veterans of the war. The staff of the museum spoke about the wartime. Also the daughter of the Hero of the Soviet Union K. Zhazykov L. Zhazykova handed a K. Zhazykov grant to exemplary students on behalf of the school named after her father.
The chairman of the regional Council of Veterans K. Birmanov expressed deep gratitude to the organizers of the event.
At the end of the action the participants laid flowers at a monument to Aliya Moldagulova.
