On May 3-4 of the current year “Open Days” and “The Olympiad in English” for school graduates who have chosen English as a profile subject at UNT were held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
The main objective of these actions is to give professional orientation support to pupils in the process of choosing the profile of training and the sphere of future professional activity.
The English Olympiad consisted of two rounds: lexical and grammatical test and listening test; speaking test. 115 pupils participated in the first round, 17 pupils passed it.
Following the results of the Olympiad the following winners have been defined: 1 place – Sherkhan Kistaubayev (lyceum No. 23); 2 place – Dania Tleuova (gymnasium No. 17); 3rd place – Ashim Buribayev (lyceum No. 20).
