Today the world champion in powerlifting Taisiya Diatchenko was ceremoniously met at K. Zhubanov University. The management of the regional Department of Physical Culture and Sport, the Rector of K. Zhubanov University, the teaching staff and students of the University and Taisiya’s parents took part in the event.
In the congratulatory word Rector of K. Zhubanov University Bauyrzhan Erdembekov emphasized that Taisiya’s victory is not only a victory of the University, it is a victory of all Kazakhstan. Having wished further success, the Rector handed Taisiya the certificate of K. Zhubanov educational grant due to which Taisiya will be able to study free of charge next academic year.
The congratulatory speech was also made by the representative of the regional management of sport and tourism Darkhan Tazhigulov who thanked K. Zhubanov University for active support of athletes.
During the action the editor-in-chief of the scientific and methodical, sports and patriotic journal “Sport Zhuldyzdary” Musagali Taskaliyev joined all congratulatory words and handed a medal to Rector of the University Bauyrzhan Amangeldyevich for a contribution to the development of physical culture and sport.
At the end of the grand welcome Taisiya thanked all attendees for support and shared further plans. According to the world champion, in July the World Cup among students will take place in the Czech Republic and in September the championship of Asia in Dubai is expected.
It will be recalled that on May 17 the current year Taisiya Diatchenko, a first-year student of K. Zhubanov University majoring in “Physical Culture and Sport” became the world champion in powerlifting in the final standing and got the title of “The Strongest Girl in the World” in the World Cup in Finland, Vantaa. Taisiya has updated the world record – 105 kg.
